SYMPHONIC BAND

The MCC band experience fosters an appreciation of the instrumental performing arts beginning in 5th grade and growing in depth all the way through 12th grade. Students in band perform at concerts throughout the year, travel and perform at unique destinations,  and even participate in the graduation ceremony. Beginning band is offered in 5th grade, intermediate band in 6th grade, Middle School Band in 7th and 8th grade, and Symphony and Marching Band in 9th-12th grade. The marching band performs at football games, select basketball games and other school events.  

The MCC band experience begins in 5th grade when students test out instruments and learn the basics of reading and playing music. In 6th grade students begin learning more advanced concepts and have the opportunity to explore more unique instruments. Middle school students have the opportunity to be in 7th and 8th grade band where we dive deeper into musical concepts, and basic theory. High School Band is the top tier of our band experience where students hone their skills on their instruments and flex their musical capabilities through varied music.
