MCC WALL OF HONOR
The purpose of the Muskegon Catholic Central Wall of Honor is to celebrate individuals who have distinguished themselves as faith-inspired representatives of Muskegon Catholic Central for living lives of exemplary character, professional accomplishment, and magnanimous service. Awards are considered annually in each of the following categories: Educator; Alumni/a/ae; Service; and Crusader.
Nominations are accepted July 1 through June 30 and can be submitted using the form below. A Selection Committee will evaluate the nominations and select the recipients of the Wall of Honor Awards. All nominations will be kept on file and reconsidered for three years. After three years, a candidate must be renominated for consideration. Selected recipients will be honored at the Millennium Club Reception in the fall.
A short description of each award is offered below. When submitting a nomination, please address the specific criteria that defines each award in addition to speaking to the person’s character.
EDUCATOR
The Educator award honors a current or past Muskegon Catholic Central teacher, coach, or staff member for their outstanding contributions as an educator. Candidates may be current or past employees and must have a minimum of ten years as an educator, of which at least five years were spent serving MCC. When submitting nominations, please speak to the nominee’s noteworthy accomplishments as an educator and their impact on those served (e.g., students, MCC, the field of education).
ALUMNI
The Alumni award celebrates a distinguished graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central for their outstanding service, leadership, or achievements with Muskegon Catholic and in the Muskegon community (e.g., work, parish, volunteer civic service). Nominations should specifically address the nominee’s leadership in and/or contributions to Muskegon Catholic Central as well as outline their professional and civic engagement.
SERVICE
The Service award recognizes alumni and friends of Muskegon Catholic Central whose actions and achievements may not be categorized in the aforementioned categories but are deserving of recognition. Nominees may be considered for this award for their humanitarian actions, community service, engagement and involvement in supporting the mission of Muskegon Catholic, or for other special contributions.
CRUSADER
The Crusader award recognizes an exemplary alumnus/a who has faithfully stewarded the Crusader spirit beyond the Muskegon community through a life distinguished by noteworthy professional accomplishments and extraordinary service to the common good.
