The following information will be needed to complete your application:

• Most recent paystubs

• Most recent W-2 forms for all jobs.

• Most recently filed federal tax return: 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ

• Most recently filed business tax return (if applicable only): 1120, 1120S, 1065 (if applicable only)

• Supplemental income documentation (if applicable only): Social Security income, Welfare, Food Stamps, Child Support, 1099-M Forms, Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment, Veterans Benefits, Housing Allowance, etc.

• Expenses Documentation: Please have the following information handy when filling out the application:

  • Annual Homeowner's/Renter’s insurance (when applicable)

  • Annual energy expenses (electricity; gas, oil, coal, water, sewage)

  • Rent or Mortgage information (monthly payment, property taxes, total still owed, market value)

  • Property tax (if not included in tax returns)

  • Rental income and expenses

  • Vehicle information: payment, value, amount owed

  • Debt information: credit cards, student loans, bank loans

In order to make tuition affordable for larger families, Muskegon Catholic Central offers a multi-child discount to all families with two or more MCC students in grades K-12.

• 2 Students - $500 credit/family

• 3 Students - $1,750 credit/family

• 4 Students - $3,000 credit/family

• More than 4 Students - Multi-child discount covers the entire net tuition for all students after the 4th Students

Parishes within the Diocese of Grand Rapids offer a designated amount of support for their students enrolled at Muskegon Catholic Central. The amount for the 2025/26 school year is $1,650 per student.

Please complete and submit the Parish Identification Form to inform MCC what parish you are currently attending. Then, contact your parish to complete their application process for the parish voucher.  (Parishes have different processes.)  Your parish will determine if you qualify for support.  MCC will confer with each individual parish to confirm which students are eligible for the parish voucher. 

Individual parishes may have specific timelines for this process, typically between the months of March and April. They may also have additional requirements in order to approve the voucher. Once the family meets their parish’s requirements, the voucher is signed and returned to the Muskegon Catholic Central Business Office for credit to your tuition invoice.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, several scholarships are available from the Muskegon Catholic Education Foundation. A student’s financial aid package may be comprised of one or several of these scholarships. Click here for a list of scholarships and the criteria that must be met to qualify for each one. In addition to the criteria listed, financial need is also a determining factor in the award process. Therefore a financial aid application is required to qualify. Students will receive an initial award letter with a total dollar amount of aid awarded based on the level of need determined by Blackbaud Financial Aid Management. They will subsequently receive an email listing the scholarship(s) that make up their award total.

Under the direction of Bishop David Walkowiak, the Diocese of Grand Rapids offers the Bishop’s Scholarships to parishioners who are enrolling students in a Catholic School in the Diocese of Grand Rapids.

The Bishop’s Scholarship is awarded based on demonstrated need. The Diocese uses the same Blackbaud online application as Muskegon Catholic Central, giving you the convenience of completing just one application to receive aid from both sources.

Families with students in grades K-12 who are new to Muskegon Catholic Central are eligible for a one-time New Family Grant of $250. Families with a preschooler will be eligible the year their student advances into Kindergarten, provided they have not received a New Family Grant in an earlier school year.  No aid application is necessary to qualify.

SCRIP is a term that means ‘substitute money’. When you purchase SCRIP, you are purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. SCRIP can be used to pay for everyday items such as food, clothing and other essentials. With every purchase, you earn dollars to be used to help pay the next year’s tuition. And since you pay face value for SCRIP, these earnings come at no additional cost to you. 

Crusader Cash is a program that allows MCC families to earn rewards to offset their tuition. Opportunities to EARN include purchasing SCRIP, selling Wesco popcorn buckets, selling $25 Gift Cards to Wesco & Meat Block, and Lakeshore Coupon Books. Families will also have opportunities to win rewards for participating in EARN programs and by volunteering.

The St. Michael School Endowment is for K-12 students who attend All Saints- Fremont, St. Joseph - White Cloud, St. Bartholomew - Newaygo, or St. Michael Brunswick. Students must complete the St. Michael - School Endowment K-12 Tuition Support Application to determine if any funding will be provided.
