We are excited to welcome Leah McKenna as our new Kindergarten teacher! Leah is a proud former MCC Crusader and a 2022 graduate of Calvin University. She has teaching experience at a bilingual Catholic school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as well as with Muskegon Public Schools' Two-Way Immersion program.
Leah is passionate about early childhood education and believes that the kindergarten years provide a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning. She shared the following message with our school community:
"I am looking forward to encouraging a love of learning and fostering kindness and compassion toward our neighbors. In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, and painting. I am very excited to be a part of the MCC community!"
We know Leah will be a wonderful addition to our elementary family, and we are excited for the faith-filled, engaging, and nurturing classroom she will create for our youngest Crusaders.

I've spent a lot of my time at Tennessee studying number theory, algebra, and topology, but after teaching for the past three years, I knew the classroom was where I was destined to be. I love math, and I love sharing my interests with others; what could be better than sharing my love of math for a living! Outside of math, I'm a huge music nerd with an ever-growing record collection, a runner, programmer, trivia enthusiast, video gamer, and an increasingly avid reader. I am blessed and excited to become a part of the Muskegon community, and I am looking forward to making a positive impact both in and out of the classroom."

Step up to the plate this summer with Crusader Baseball! Join us for skill-building, instruction, and plenty of reps in a fun and competitive environment led by Coach Steve Schuitema.

I pray that your summer vacation is off to a wonderful start!
I wanted to share an exciting opportunity for your children this summer. The Diocese of Grand Rapids is partnering with St. Mary's Parish in Muskegon to offer Totus Tuus, a dynamic Catholic summer program for students entering Grades 1–12.
Totus Tuus is a summer Catholic youth program dedicated to sharing the Gospel and strengthening the Catholic faith through evangelization, catechesis, Christian witness, and Eucharistic worship. The program is led by teams of enthusiastic college students and seminarians who provide a fun, engaging, and faith-filled experience for participants.
An added benefit is that the program takes place during next week's "dead week" for athletics, so students can participate without missing any athletic practices or training sessions.
