Crusader Open

Muskegon Catholic Central is taking a major step toward making faith-based education more accessible and affordable for families throughout the community through a new fundraising initiative, the “Promise to Pope Leo XIV” Campaign.”

The campaign is already building strong momentum by raising $700,000 in support of the school’s mission and future initiatives. In addition, 85 donors have already committed to the campaign’s goal of securing 250 supporters dedicated to helping families access a Catholic education.
The “Promise to Pope Leo XIV” campaign reflects MCC’s ongoing commitment to forming students academically, spiritually, and morally while ensuring tuition costs do not become a barrier for families seeking a Christ-centered education.
This campaign is about investing in the future of our students and our community. We believe every child should have the opportunity to experience a faith-filled education that prepares them for success in both life and leadership.
Funds raised through the initiative will help support tuition assistance, academic opportunities, and long-term sustainability efforts that continue to strengthen the MCC experience for current and future Crusaders.

School leaders say the enthusiasm and generosity already shown by donors, alumni, parents, and community members demonstrate the strong belief in Muskegon Catholic Central’s mission and future.

Those interested in becoming one of the 250 campaign supporters or learning more about the “Promise to Pope Leo XIV” initiative are encouraged to contact Muskegon Catholic Central or visit mccpromise.org to donate.

All-School Rosary with the Bishop 🙏 Today, our students joined Catholic schools across the diocese in a beautiful, live-streamed Rosary led by our Bishop. It was a powerful moment of unity as we came together in prayer, lifting our intentions as one faith-filled community. Opportunities like this remind us that we are part of something greater—the universal Church—connected through faith, hope, and love. We are grateful for this special time to pause, reflect, and pray together.

In Literature class, seniors 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙣 𝙇𝙪𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙨 and 𝙅𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙣 𝘾𝙤𝙤𝙠 read Night by Elie Wiesel and took their learning beyond the classroom through a meaningful senior project. Their goal was to turn the powerful themes of the book into real-world impact—something that helps, informs, and improves their community.

They chose to partner with our local Kids’ Food Basket to support families in need by helping provide meals to children in our area.

As part of their project, they are reaching out to our community for support. You can help make a difference by donating items listed on the flyer. Every contribution, big or small, helps ensure local children have access to the food they need.

Thank you for supporting their efforts and making a positive impact in our community!

Rainbow Auction Thank You
You are warmly invited to join us this Saturday, April 25, at 4:00 p.m. at Muskegon Catholic Central, where we will be honored to welcome Most Reverend Bishop David Walkowiak as celebrant for the Vigil Mass of the Fourth Sunday of Easter. Concelebrating the Mass will be Reverend Charlie Hall, former pastor of St. Francis de Sales (Norton Shores) and St. Michael’s (Muskegon). We welcome all members of our community, and families are especially encouraged to attend. Immediately following Mass, our annual Rainbow Auction will begin. Please note that attendance at the auction is not required to participate in the Mass. We hope you will be able to join us for this special celebration of the Mass this Saturday.
